Getting serious about Time

I’ll not go into details of why I had a spare Meinberg LANTIME 300/GPS as it would make my blood boil – so let me stick to the positive ;-)

With a rather limited set of SA Stratum-1 servers publicly available we decided to deploy one of the systems within the Neology network. After installation and giving things a couple of days to settle we’ve added the server to the ZA pool for  ntp.org.

So, without further ado I’d like to introduce the world to our little time server in Africa – stratum1.neology.co.za

Much to our surprise we’re the first IPv6 NTP server available in Africa ;-)
